The slurry pump Piston ring, also known as wear ring, is installed between the impeller and pump casing / front liner as a key wear-resistant sealing part. With labyrinth grooves on inner surface, it forms narrow tortuous clearance at the impeller periphery. The labyrinth throttling effect restricts high-pressure medium flowing back from impeller outlet to suction inlet and reduces recirculation loss. Meanwhile, it prevents hard particles in slurry from continuously scouring the impeller and pump casing. It is generally made of high-chromium alloy or wear-resistant cast iron. When clearance becomes oversized after wear, it can be replaced separately, widely used on AH, ZJ and other slurry pumps.
Product Advantages
-Reduce Medium Backflow & Boost Hydraulic Efficiency: Labyrinth structure minimizes internal recirculation and energy loss to maintain pumping performance.
-Protect Main Wet-end Components: Takes particle scouring to avoid direct abrasion of impeller and pump casing.
-Cost-saving & Easy Maintenance: Replaceable spare part; no need to change expensive impeller or casing after wear.
-Excellent Wear Resistance: High-chromium alloy option withstands particle erosion under high-solid harsh conditions.
-Wide Standard Compatibility: Fits mainstream slurry pump models with simple disassembly for mining, metallurgy and coal washing industries.
