Slurry pump packing, also known as gland packing, is a core braided sealing component installed in the stuffing box between the split gland and shaft sleeve. It forms a flexible sealing barrier after being compressed by bolts of the split stuffing gland, blocking particle-laden abrasive slurry from leaking outward and preventing mineral slurry from infiltrating bearing assemblies to protect pump shafts and shaft sleeves. We supply a full series of braided packing materials to match diverse slurry working conditions, including ramie fiber packing, mica-infused asbestos packing, pure PTFE packing, aramid-reinforced PTFE packing, graphite-impregnated synthetic fiber packing, and mixed hybrid fiber packing. All products adopt dense square braiding technology, fully soaked with high-performance lubricants, anti-extrusion agents and anti-abrasion additives during production. Strict control over braiding density, fiber uniformity and impregnation saturation ensures stable resilience after long-term compression without rapid aging or hardening. Different material grades cover a wide range of temperature, pressure and chemical environments: ramie packing fits normal-temperature neutral mineral slurry; asbestos-mica packing supports high-temperature steam transmission; PTFE series resists strong acid, alkali and chloride-containing corrosive media; aramid composite packing copes with high-pressure, high-solid-content abrasive slurry of filter press feed pumps. The packing can be cut into custom lengths or pre-formed rings for quick on-site installation, compatible with Warman AH, HH, ZJ and all domestic horizontal & vertical slurry pump models. Widely deployed in mineral separation, coal washing, power plant desulfurization, chemical tailings delivery and chalk-calcium nitrate slurry conveying under continuous heavy-duty cyclic pressure conditions. Product Advantages 1.Diversified material options cover full working conditions. Ramie fiber is soft and low-cost without scratching shaft sleeves; PTFE series features universal chemical inertness against almost all acid-base slurries; aramid blended packing boasts ultra-high tensile strength to resist particle erosion and fluid cutting. 2.Dense uniform braided structure maintains stable elasticity under long-time compression, avoiding permanent deformation, loose sealing and continuous slurry dripping; built-in sustained-release lubricant reduces friction heat between packing and shaft sleeve to extend the service life of sleeves and sealing parts. 3.Low friction coefficient minimizes wear on mirror-finished shaft sleeves, greatly lowering replacement frequency of expensive shaft protective components and cutting overall equipment maintenance expenses. 4.Simple assembly and disassembly without complex dismounting of pump internals. Split stuffing gland enables fast packing replacement to shorten production downtime and improve operational efficiency compared with mechanical seals. 5.Wide adaptability to variable operating parameters, working stably under alternating high and low pressure of filter feed pumps, resisting extrusion damage under 24-hour continuous operation. Non-toxic eco-friendly fiber types are available to meet environmental protection requirements and replace restricted asbestos packing gradually. 6.Complete dimensional specifications match OEM stuffing box sizes perfectly, no secondary trimming required during installation; customized prefabricated packing rings can be produced to satisfy special pump and process demands.
