This product is a 45# steel shaft dedicated to slurry pumps. It is the core component for pump power transmission, directly connecting the motor and impeller, and bears the torque and radial load when conveying high-concentration slurry. Made of high-quality 45# carbon structural steel, it undergoes quenching and tempering treatment (quenching + high-temperature tempering) and precision machining. It has high strength, high toughness and excellent wear resistance, and can be adapted to various medium and heavy-duty slurry pump models to meet the harsh working conditions of mining, metallurgy, coal, building materials and other industries.

After quenching and tempering treatment, the tensile strength of 45# steel can reach more than 600MPa, and the yield strength is ≥355MPa. Compared with ordinary carbon steel shafts, the torsional stiffness is increased by more than 30%. When conveying slurry containing large particles of sand and gravel, it can effectively avoid the bending or fracture of the shaft body due to excessive torque, ensuring the continuous and stable operation of the pump.
Precision Machining, High Fitting Accuracy
CNC lathes and grinders are used for precision machining. The journal tolerance is controlled at IT6-IT7 level, and the surface roughness Ra ≤ 0.8μm. The fitting clearance with bearings and impellers is precise, which reduces vibration and noise during operation, reduces wear between components, and prolongs the service life of the entire pump unit.
Good Toughness, Strong Impact Resistance
The elongation after fracture of 45# steel is ≥16%, and the reduction of area is ≥40%, which has excellent toughness. When the slurry pump starts, stops or the flow rate of the conveying medium fluctuates, it can effectively absorb the impact load, avoid the shaft body cracking caused by instantaneous impact force, and adapt to the dynamic load changes under complex working conditions.
Easy Machinability, Flexible Customization
45# steel has good cutting performance, and can be customized with keyways, threads, steps and other structures according to customer needs to meet the assembly requirements of different types of slurry pumps. At the same time, the surface can be subjected to strengthening treatments such as chrome plating and nitriding to further improve wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
