Core Positioning: Key sealing and protective component for slurry pumps, a metal wear-resistant assembly tailored to harsh working conditions
This product is a metal labyrinth sleeve specifically designed for slurry pumps, acting as the core protective part of the pump's sealing system. Installed between the shafting and pump casing, it forms multiple sealing barriers through a labyrinth structure design. Its primary function is to block gravel particles and corrosive media in high-concentration slurry from invading the bearing assembly and shafting mating surfaces, while minimizing leakage of the conveyed medium. It ensures the continuous and stable operation of pump units in high-wear, strong-corrosion working conditions across industries such as mining, metallurgy, coal, and building materials.
Crafted from high-quality metal base material, it inherits the robust adaptability of slurry pump core components, integrating excellent wear resistance, impact resistance, and corrosion resistance. It can precisely match various medium and heavy-duty slurry pump models (including Jch-Tiktop 6/4-AH(R) series), forming a perfect fit with transmission components like 45# steel shafts and DAM073M large-diameter shafts to extend the service life of the entire pump unit.
Selected from high-quality metal materials of the same grade as the 45# steel shaft of slurry pumps, it is manufactured through precision machining and strengthening treatment. The base material boasts a tensile strength of ≥500MPa and a yield strength of ≥320MPa, with hardness controlled between 170-230HB. It combines medium strength with good toughness, capable of withstanding periodic loads and particle impacts during slurry transportation, preventing deformation and cracking caused by long-term friction or instantaneous impact.
The surface undergoes professional strengthening processes such as zinc plating (Zn) to form a dense protective layer, significantly improving corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Even in working conditions with acid-alkaline media or high humidity, it can effectively resist medium erosion, prevent rusting of the metal base material, and reduce friction loss with the shafting and seals, further extending the component's service life.Core Advantages: Precise Adaptability, Building a Solid Sealing and Protection Barrier
The high hardness of the metal base material combined with the labyrinth-type multi-gap design not only blocks large gravel particles from directly scouring the shafting and bearings but also reduces medium leakage through the gap throttling effect. Compared with ordinary materials, the metal labyrinth sleeve offers over 40% higher wear resistance, capable of withstanding the scouring and wear of high-concentration slurry for a long time to avoid seal failure.
Precision-machined strictly in accordance with slurry pump shafting dimensions, the journal fit tolerance is controlled within IT6-IT7 grade, and the surface roughness is Ra≤0.8μm, ensuring precise fit with components such as 45# steel shafts, DAM073M large-diameter shafts, and cartridge-type bearing housings. No modification to the pump body structure is required during installation; it can be fixed with only supporting fasteners, adapting to multiple series of medium and heavy-duty slurry pumps including Jch-Tiktop 6/4-AH(R).
The metal material exhibits good toughness and torsional rigidity, with an elongation after fracture of ≥7%, which can effectively absorb the impact load during slurry pump startup and shutdown, as well as dynamic stress caused by fluctuations in the conveyed medium flow rate. Within the operating temperature range of -20℃~120℃, it maintains structural stability without the risk of deformation or cracking, adapting to dynamic operation requirements under complex working conditions.
The metal material features high machining accuracy and strong structural stability. Under normal working conditions, its service life is 2-3 times that of ordinary materials, reducing downtime losses caused by frequent replacements. Additionally, the component is lightweight, easy to install and disassemble, and can be quickly replaced and maintained without professional complex tools, lowering labor and operation and maintenance costs.
