Core Positioning: A key protective component for slurry pump bearing systems, with metal material adapted to heavy-load and harsh working conditions
This product is a metal grease retainer specially designed for slurry pumps, serving as the core protective component of the bearing lubrication system. Installed between the bearing assembly and the shaft system, adjacent to transmission components such as 45# steel shafts and DAM073M large-diameter shafts, its core function is to securely lock the lubricating grease (butter) in the bearing cavity to prevent leakage and loss. Meanwhile, it blocks gravel particles and corrosive media in high-concentration slurry from invading the bearing mating surfaces, avoiding lubrication failure and component wear. It ensures the continuous and stable operation of various medium and heavy-duty slurry pumps (including Jch-Tiktop 6/4-AH(R)) in harsh working conditions of industries such as mining, metallurgy, and coal.
Crafted from high-quality metal base material through precision machining, it inherits the strong adaptability of slurry pump core components, combining excellent wear resistance, deformation resistance, and temperature resistance. It can precisely match the assembly requirements of transmission components like 45# steel shafts, forming a perfect fit with cartridge-type bearing housings to extend the service life of the entire pump unit.
Selected from high-quality metal materials of the same grade as 45# steel shafts, it undergoes quenching and tempering as well as precision machining. The base material has a tensile strength of ≥500MPa, a yield strength of ≥320MPa, and a hardness controlled in the range of 170-230HB. It combines medium strength with good toughness, capable of withstanding periodic loads, particle impacts, and rotational friction of the shaft system during slurry pump operation, avoiding deformation, fracture, or excessive wear caused by long-term use.
Adopting an arc-shaped structural design that fits the contour of the shaft system, the fit tolerance with the journal is strictly controlled within IT6-IT7 grade, and the surface roughness is Ra≤0.8μm. This ensures tight conform to with 45# steel shafts, DAM073M large-diameter shafts, etc., forming an effective sealing gap. The rigidity of the metal material can prevent the retainer from deforming under high pressure or vibration, avoiding lubricating grease leakage and impurity intrusion. Compared with ordinary material retainers, its sealing stability is improved by more than 50%.
The metal base material itself has excellent wear resistance. After rust-proof strengthening treatment on the surface, it can resist erosion from corrosive media in slurry, preventing rust and aging. Under working conditions of high-concentration slurry scouring and long-term friction, its service life is 2-3 times that of ordinary non-metal retainers, reducing downtime losses caused by frequent replacement.
Strictly designed according to the dimensions of slurry pump bearing assemblies and shaft systems, it can precisely match multiple series of medium and heavy-duty slurry pumps such as Jch-Tiktop 6/4-AH(R), forming a perfect fit with components like 45# steel shafts, DAM073M large-diameter shafts, and cartridge-type bearing housings. No modification to the pump body structure is required during installation; it can be directly embedded into the corresponding position of the bearing cavity, making assembly convenient and efficient.
The metal material has good torsional rigidity and toughness, with an elongation after fracture of ≥7%, which can effectively absorb impact loads during slurry pump startup and shutdown, as well as vibration stress during operation. Within the working temperature range of -20℃~120℃, it has strong structural stability without the risk of deformation or cracking, adapting to complex working conditions with high loads and strong vibrations.
Through precise sealing design, it can minimize lubricating grease leakage, ensuring that the bearing is always in a fully lubricated state and reducing friction loss between the bearing and the shaft system. Meanwhile, it blocks gravel particles from entering the bearing cavity, avoiding bearing wear and jamming, indirectly extending the bearing service life by more than 30% and reducing the overall operation and maintenance cost of the pump unit.
