Impeller: Material (Metal/Rubber) Option for High-Efficiency, Wear-Resistant & Precision Conveying

Material Selection (Metal/Rubber) , Wear & Corrosion Resistant Design, Hydrodynamically Optimized Structure Custom-Engineered for Harsh Slurry Pump Conditions to Enhance Conveying Efficiency and Extend Equipment Operating Cycle

1. Custom-Made for Slurry Pumps: Overcoming Severe Conveying Challenges

Slurry pumps continuously handle high-concentration, corrosive slurries containing high-hardness solid particles. As the core power component, the impeller must simultaneously withstand particle erosion, medium corrosion, high-pressure loads, and turbulent impact. Ordinary impellers are prone to blade wear, corrosion perforation, deformation, and fracture, leading to reduced pump head, insufficient flow rate, and even equipment downtime. This slurry pump-specific impeller is developed targeting such scenarios, offering dual material options (metal/rubber) with optimized hydrodynamic structure and wear-resistant design. It perfectly adapts to the high-wear, high-corrosion, and high-load working environment of slurry pumps, ensuring efficient and stable slurry conveying.

2. Core Advantages: Forging Strong Power and Durability

(1). Dual-Material Options: Precisely Matching Different Working Conditions

Metal Impeller (High-Hardness Alloy Steel/Wear-Resistant Cast Iron)

Reinforced by special processes such as quenching and carburizing, with a surface hardness of HRC60+. Specifically designed for high-concentration, large-particle slurry scenarios. It effectively resists high-speed impact and cutting wear from sand and gravel particles, tolerates corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, and salt deposits, and is not prone to rust or cracking. Its service life is 2-3 times longer than that of ordinary metal impellers.

Rubber Impeller (Natural Rubber)

Made of high-elasticity, wear-resistant rubber with anti-aging and anti-tear additives. Suitable for medium-low concentration, small-to-medium particle, and highly corrosive slurry scenarios. The elastic material buffers particle impact to reduce wear loss, while boasting excellent corrosion resistance to avoid failure caused by medium erosion, with lower operating noise.

(2). Hydrodynamically Optimized Design: Significantly Improved Conveying Efficiency

The blade structure is optimized based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation technology. Adopting a streamlined arc design reduces slurry flow resistance and eddy current loss, enhancing head and flow efficiency. The inlet and outlet angles of the blades are precisely calibrated to improve slurry suction and pushing capacity, ensuring smooth conveyance of high-concentration slurries without clogging. The hub and blades are integrally formed, featuring a compact structure and high rotational balance accuracy, which reduces operating vibration and energy loss. The conveying efficiency is 15%-20% higher than that of ordinary impellers.

(3). Precision Machining: Precise Fit with Zero Deviation

  • Metal Impeller: Manufactured using high-precision CNC machining equipment, strictly adhering to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) assembly standards for slurry pumps. Key dimensional tolerance is controlled within ±0.02mm, achieving precise fit with the pump shaft and casing—no assembly gaps, ensuring transmission stability.
  • Rubber Impeller: Formed by precision mold vulcanization, with controllable dimensional accuracy. The rubber and metal framework are firmly bonded without delamination risk. The surface undergoes fine processing to remove burrs and impurities, avoiding scratches on the pump casing or seals during operation. It is compatible with multiple slurry pump models, offering strong versatility.

(4). Robust Structural Design: Enhanced Durability

Metal Impeller: Key stress-bearing parts are thickened, and the blade roots adopt arc transition design to disperse stress concentration, preventing fracture and deformation caused by impact. The hub features a high-strength structure to enhance connection stability with the pump shaft, avoiding loosening and slipping during high-speed rotation.

Rubber Impeller: The blades are designed with a thickened wear-resistant layer, and high-wear areas are reinforced to improve tear and fatigue resistance. The elastic structure absorbs operating vibration, reducing rigid collision with the pump body and extending the overall service life of the equipment.

3. Application Scenarios & Material Selection Guide

Application Scenarios

Suitable for various equipment such as mining slurry pumps, chemical mud pumps, sewage treatment pumps, and desulfurization pumps. Widely used in industries including mining, metallurgy, chemical production, power plant desulfurization, river dredging, and sewage treatment. It adapts to the conveying needs of high/medium/low concentration slurries and particle-containing slurries.

Material Selection Recommendations

Choose Metal Impeller: For high-concentration, large-particle (particle size ≥5mm) slurries, or high-temperature (≤150℃), high-wear working conditions, such as mine tailings conveying and sand slurry conveying.
Choose Rubber Impeller: For medium-low concentration, small-to-medium particle (particle size <5mm) slurries, or highly corrosive media (e.g., acid-alkali slurries) and low-noise requirement scenarios, such as chemical waste liquid conveying and sewage treatment.

Notes

  • Before installation, clean impurities and oil stains from the impeller surface and assembly parts to ensure a clean fitting surface. Select the corresponding impeller specification according to the slurry pump model, and tighten bolts with uniform force.
  • Regularly inspect the impeller wear condition. Replace the metal impeller when the wear amount exceeds 1mm, and the rubber impeller when cracks, delamination, or exposure of the framework due to wear occurs.
  • Avoid conveying slurries containing sharp hard debris (e.g., metal blocks) to prevent accidental damage to the impeller.

4. Quality Assurance: Worry-Free Purchasing

Every batch of impellers undergoes strict inspections: metal impellers pass hardness testing, dimensional accuracy inspection, and impact resistance testing; rubber impellers pass wear resistance testing, corrosion resistance testing, and adhesion strength testing. All products comply with industrial machinery component quality standards. We provide comprehensive after-sales support: in case of quality issues such as dimensional deviation, substandard material, or improper installation fit, return and refund services are available. Additionally, professional material selection guidance and technical support are offered to help you accurately match working condition requirements.
